Privacy policy

Alt AI Labs runs altailabs.co and the Alt AI Labs app. This policy covers both. Questions go to hello@altailabs.ai.

Your account: name, email address and a password, which is stored only as a one-way hash. If you choose a public address or fill in a profile, we store what you put there.

Your progress: basics results (typing and reading scores, and which accounts you say you have set up), points, medals and league standing.

Your work: challenge entries, including the links and write-ups you submit, and anything you post to the showcase or list as a product, with the votes on it.

Technical data: basic usage events and error reports, and the language and theme you chose. We do not use advertising cookies.

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone. We do not collect card numbers: entry is free and nothing is sold in the app. We do not sell personal data and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or sites.

To run your account, show your progress and rank, judge challenge entries and pay prizes.

An AI model pre-scores challenge entries against the published criteria. For this, the write-up you submit, and the contents of a public repository you link, are sent to our AI provider. A person makes the final decision.

To email you about your own entries, results and payouts. We do not send marketing email unless you ask for it.

Other people see what you make public: your name, public profile, showcase posts, products and place on the leaderboard.

The organization that posted a challenge sees the entries to it and the winners’ work.

Companies that host and run the service for us process data on our behalf: hosting, database, email delivery, analytics and the AI provider. They may be located outside your country.

We disclose data when the law requires it.

If you win a cash prize we ask for what is needed to pay you, such as a bank or wallet detail. It is used for that payment and its record. Cash prizes are paid to people aged 18 or older.

You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile, then Delete account) or by writing to hello@altailabs.ai. Deletion removes your name, email, password, profile, basics results, posts, products, comments and votes.

Some records are kept without your name, because they are the history of the competitions: points awarded, challenge entries and payout records. After deletion they no longer identify you on the service.

The service is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal data, write to us and we will remove it.

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so on this page and change the date at the top.
